THE CURATOR TOTNES

2 THE PLAINS, TOTNES, TQ9 5DR

WEEKDAYS 8am - 4pm / WEEKENDS 9am - 4pm

The Curator Cafe opened in 2012 on the day the Olympic torch passed through Totnes, with an aim to bring quality Italian products that everyone could enjoy in a special environment.  Speciality coffee has always been at the centre of The Curator and we have always remained loyal to the classic Italian tradition of wood roasted coffee.  Initially we imported wood roasted coffee directly from Italy but as we developed we wanted to complete the coffee cycle by sourcing and roasting the beans ourselves, which we now do in at our roastery on Totnes Industrial Estate.

The Curator sits at the entrance to Totnes, taking advantage of the wide pavements with outside seating and spreads over three floors.  The décor is all about appreciating the light spaces and our chosen heritage surf boards, cycles and stylish prints.  We serve all our own Italian Bakery products; pastries, cakes and doughnuts as well as freshly made focaccia sandwiches and a brunch & lunch menu.  We work closely with local growers to source amazing seasonal ingredients and our menu reflects our Italian traditions with simple, delicious small plates served every day.

Well behaved dogs are welcome downstairs, just not upstairs as we have an open kitchen.
