BUTTERWALK

At the beginning of 2023 we moved into Butterwalk, a sustainable department store offering handmade clothing, homewares, gifts, & beauty products. You’ll find us at the front of the shop, with artwork from local creatives complementing the minimalist aesthetic. There’s a small section of seating outside on the pavement where you can observe the lively hustle & bustle of the market square.

The Butterwalk is an old Tudor colonnaded section of pavement which was apparently designed to give shelter from the weather to the sellers of dairy products.
